Hot gas reheat dehumidification
Mold spores need moisture to grow, so reducing humidity helps control the growth of these allergens. Controlled humidity also keeps occupants more comfortable.
Choosing a hot gas reheat dehumidification system is one of the most effective and energy-efficient ways to control humidity and the spread of allergens. These systems provide independent control of a building¹s relative humidity levels and room temperature.
That’s an improvement over less advanced systems that aren’t as effective at controlling humidity on mild temperature days.
Single and multiple compressor sequences
Hot gas reheat systems are available with single compressor and two compressor sequences. The systems initiate dehumidification when humidity is above the desired set point but room temperature is satisfactory.
Once a room’s air has been cooled and dehumidified, it is reheated nearly to room temperature by the hot-gas reheat coil. The units operate in dehumidification mode until the preferred humidity level is achieved.
